MT ELEVATORS / INFORMATION
Privacy Notice
How we use information when you visit or contact us.

Who is responsible for your information?
MT Elevators Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12435128. Our registered office is Office 222, 26 Cheering Lane, London E20 1BD, United Kingdom. Contact info@mtelevators.com or call 07496 852296 about privacy or your information.
What we collect and why
When you contact us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, site postcode and information about the lift or work required. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
We use enquiry information to understand your requirements, reply, arrange visits and prepare proposals. Where you are asking us to enter into a contract with you, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. For business representatives and other enquiries, our legitimate interest is responding to requests and providing lift engineering services.
Our hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request times and technical connection details to deliver and protect the website, prevent misuse and investigate faults. Our legitimate interest is maintaining a secure and reliable service. We also retain records where necessary to meet legal obligations.
Who receives information?
Information is available to authorised people who need it to respond to your enquiry. Hosting, email and IT providers process information in delivering those services. Where your enquiry requires a specialist or subcontractor, relevant details may be shared to assess or deliver the requested work. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for legal obligations or claims.
Public Google reviews are supplied through Trustindex. If reviews are displayed, we show selected five-star reviews with the author name and review text, and link to the full Google listing. This information originates from public Google reviews, not from an enquiry form. Our legitimate interest is explaining customers’ experience of our services. Contact us if you have a concern about a review we display.
External services and international processing
Google Maps and WhatsApp links open external services only when you choose to follow them. Their providers then process information under their own privacy notices. We do not embed their maps or messaging tools on these pages. Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-transfer rules apply, appropriate transfer arrangements are required. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long is information kept?
Enquiry information is kept for the time needed to respond, follow up and resolve the request. If an enquiry becomes a project, relevant correspondence forms part of the project record. Retention is assessed against the purpose of the record, applicable accounting and legal duties, warranty and safety requirements, and the need to establish or defend claims. Technical records are retained according to operational and security needs. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction or data portability.
You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Tell us your circumstances by contacting info@mtelevators.com. We will consider your request under the applicable data protection rules.
If we rely on consent for a particular activity, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list. You do not have to provide information, but we may be unable to respond or assess a request without the necessary contact and site details. This website does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You may also contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
